Anti-Aging and Pigmentation
Hand Rejuvenation
Along with the eyes and neck, hands tend to show signs of aging sooner than the rest of the body.
What causes the aging of hands?
There are numerous reasons why hands tend to age sooner than other areas of the body, some include the daily exposure to sunlight, water, how much we rely and work with them as well as the skin on ones hands being fairly thin in comparison to other areas of the body. The visible effects of aging hands include the formation of wrinkles and sunspots as well as the disappearance of the soft fat that once gave your hands a smooth shape.
Prevention is also better than cure and taking equal care of your hands, as you do with your face, is important. Wearing gloves and applying sunscreen are two quick and easy methods to incorporate in ones daily routine. However, we can assist with the anti-aging of ones hands with our hand rejuvenation treatment. The treatment focuses on reviving the collagen and elastin production in the skin and removes pigmented marks.

Fine Lines and Wrinkles
An unspoken lift story.
What causes of Fine Lines and Wrinkles?
There are two main powerhouses that ensure our skin remains tight and contoured: collagen and elastin fibres. However, as we age the production slows down and reduces gradually resulting in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The formation of fine lines on younger individuals is often due to one’s lifestyle and the choices that we make, these include: diet, lack of sleep, lack of sunscreen, the wrong skincare regime, lack of exercise, too much stress and smoking.
Let us, at One Aesthetics, help you reduce and prevent wrinkles, crow lines (lines form at the corner and under the eyes), frown lines (lines that form between the eyebrows), laugh lines (lines that form when you smile around the sides of the mouth), glabellar lines (lines that form horizontally on the forehead), deep lines that form from the nose to the corners of the mouth as well as lip lines.

Sagging Skin
Ideal non-surgical and non-invasive treatments specialised for you.
What causes skin to sag?
The most common reason for skin to sag is age. Collagen and elastin, the two substances that give skin its structure, naturally break down as one gets older. As collagen weakens so does the connective tissue that holds your skin, muscles and fat together. Sun exposure and smoking also cause damage to collagen and elastin. The most common examples of sagging skin include: softening of the jawline, bags under the eyes, droopy eyelids, slackening cheeks, lines on the neck and deep lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth.

Dehydrated Skin
On average, 60% of the skin is water, making it essential for us to have enough. Is your moisturiser doing enough to help the hydration of your skin?
What causes skin dehydration:
Many external elements we are exposed to on a daily basis cause the skin to dehydrate – such as sunlight, chemicals, harsh cleaning agents, lifestyle choices, weather conditions, diet and air conditioning to name a few. These harsh conditions strip the lipid (fatty) layer of the skin, which acts as a barrier to the passage of molecules and ions into and out of the skin. With continuous exposure to these external elements the skin cells gradually weaken causing it to become dry and flaky.
When the skin becomes dry and damaged it starts to produce an excess of oil to protect itself, however this usually causes acne and acne scarring. Early signs of skin dehydration include sudden appearance of fine lines, dull complexion, itchy skin, red scars as well as greying and uneven skin tones.

Pigmentation
Be the most confident version of yourself.
What causes Dark Spots and Brown Patches?
We know, all too well, that our brown spots appear in a flash and take ages to get rid of. Dark spots are a build-up of pigmentation that is caused by unprotected sun exposure and/or certain medication. Melanin is an essential element present in the skin that helps the skin fight many external elements such as weather and sun exposure. Excess melanin production causes hyperpigmentation which may lie dormant until triggered by a sudden rise in oestrogen levels. This often results in sunspots, melisma, slackening cheeks, fatigued eyelids, exaggerated line from nose to mouth and lines on neck.
